Best Out of Conference Games from this year’s 2021 ACC Football Schedule Grid
We’re listing our most anticipated out of conference games on the 2021 ACC football schedule grid. There’s a ton of action, but the cream of the crop always rises to the top. Here are our top five games to watch from the AAtlantic Coast Conference this season:
1. Miami vs. Alabama – The Canes meet the Tide in a rematch of the 1993 Sugar Bowl and the very first Bowl Coalition National Championship Game! The top ranked and defending champion Hurricanes were overmatched by second ranked Bama, who won their 12th national championship.
2. Clemson vs. Georgia – The Tigers and Dawgs are ranked #2 and #4 respectively in the 2021 college football preseason power rankings. You probably won’t find a better game to watch the first weekend of college football.
#3. North Carolina State vs. Mississippi State – This will be the best game between two land grant institutions this season. The balanced Wolfpack attack against the Bulldogs Air Raid offense. Over and under already set at 120!
#4. Cincinnati at Notre Dame – Two programs in the preseason Top 10 and always strong. The Irish lost some starters including their QB, but look to reload like they do every season. Cincy came close to an undeafeted season last year and return most of their starters from a year ago.
#5. Wake Forest at North Carolina – Wait. I thought the heading said out of conference? No? Well you read it right the first time, this game will be played as an out of conference game. Scheduled back in 2016, these guys decided it was more important to play each other than staying with in line ACC scheduling and division play. So, instead of paying an FCS team a million bucks, these two schools decided to keep the rivalry game intact. Great idea for the fans and will garner much more interest than a matchup with Whoknowswhere State College!
That’s our top five games from the 2021 ACC football schedule grid. Hope you liked it and let’s play some football!
